Sheel Madhur IPS, Retd. Former DGP in Haryana

Sheel Madhur was born in the holy city of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His family originally belonged to village Poore Basawan Block Bihar, Kunda Tehsil of Pratapgarh district in U.P. During his childhood he studied in various schools in the villages of U.P. and that too in government schools and colleges only. With this initial rural background, he again came to Allahabad and did his graduation, post-graduation and then LLB from Allahabad university. That is how he acquired the degrees of M.A. Modern history and LLB.

From the very beginning he had a passion to serve the people and pursued the dream of joining the premier government services of the country. After post-graduation he joined central government services at the AG office of U.P. in Allahabad which enabled him financially to withstand the pursuit of his dream of becoming an IPS officer. He always feels thankful to his colleagues and friends in the AG office.

He has also to his credit to have penned, sung, and video grathed many patriotic songs available on YouTube and Facebook etc

He also brought out nationalist magazine named Saadar India a bilingual monthly Magazine highlighting the rich cultural values and heritage of our country thus motivating the youth to appreciate the value of patriotic and cultural values necessary for the society.

His Concern for the downtrodden strata of the society and the need for pollution free environment led him to initiate start the mission of "har Ghar Suraj har Ghar Roshan' which was started in his paternal village in UP by providing solar lights for every household in the village as there was no electric connection in that village at that time.

Another mission for which he is still commited is the "Rojgar For All" for which he along with his team is still fighting for.
